Chengdu International Youth Music Festival

The Chengdu, China, International Youth Music Festival is an annual event. This prestigious event is managed by Educational World Travel and Inter-Con Education and Culture, in conjunction with the City of Chengdu, Chengdu Foreign Affairs Office, The Ministry of Culture, The Ministry of Education and various Foreign Diplomatic Posts.

Participation in the music festival is for High School students and their families. Attendance at the Festival is by invitation only.

Students from Peoples Republic of China, Australia, the United States of America and Canada will attend this celebration of music and cross cultural events. Student members of Orchestras, Bands, Ensembles and Choirs will have the opportunity to perform, learn, teach others, enhance and increase their music skills through a combination of workshops and performances.

This festival is NOT a competition, but a coming together of Western and Eastern cultures where all can speak and understand one language, that of MUSIC!

This is also a charitable festival that will help raise vital funds for the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (the most famous in the world) to continue ongoing research and study into preserving the Giant Panda for future generations.
